YNHH Regional Operations Center Complete

Since the inception of the Yale New Haven Health (YNHH) system in 1995, YNHH has emerged as the state’s healthcare leader and achieved national recognition for its high standards of care. Its dedicated professionals, which include 7,500+ medical personnel and 22,000+ additional staff, are making the latest medical treatments and innovations available to the community. These services are rendered via six primary care facilities and hundreds of supporting locations. When YNHH decided to develop a new Regional Operations Center, it engaged A/Z to manage the renovations of an existing site to fit their needs.

Approximately eight acres of the 116-acre property at 600 Derby Avenue were renovated to support this development project. The 141,000 SF building is divided into two floors—the first floor at 99,490 SF and the second floor at 41,500 SF. These areas included offices, receptions, imaging, pharmacy, warehousing for medical devices and other medical equipment, a reception area, and mechanical and electrical support areas.

Additionally, the site itself was upgraded during the renovations. 19 sealed loading docks and a warehouse trucking logistics area were created, as well as two compactor loading areas. The access roads were reconditioned with separate car and truck facility access points and a new 100+ parking lot was created.
