Teaming with The S/L/A/M Collaborative and van Zelm Engineers, A/Z served as the design-build lead to execute the total transformation of Eversource’s Berlin, CT facility into a state-of-the-art Transmission Operations Center. The project team constructed flexible work space and a comprehensive control center, driven by an extensive below-grade infrastructure. Parallel data rooms, communication rooms, UPS battery rooms, and mechanical and electrical rooms provide complete 2N redundancy, while tele / data and MEP infrastructure installations support the operations of New England’s largest utilities system.
