Virtual Design & Engineering (VDC)
The use of technology in the construction sector is revolutionizing how we design, plan, and execute our projects. A/Z’s VDC capabilities are allowing our teams to enhance our projects with these technologies as the industry continues to evolve.
A/Z ’s team members are deploying VDC solutions through the use of leading-edge technologies such as 3D geospatial scanning. Our engineers and technologies use this advanced hardware to rapidly and precisely gather detailed information on building environments before, during, and after construction. These scans are orders of magnitude faster and more accurate than traditional field notes, hand sketches, and photos.
A/Z can virtually build a 3D model of MEP Issued for Construction packages to identify special conflicts as designed by outside engineering groups and reduce risk to the cost and schedule caused by the need for rework. Additionally, the VDC team’s efforts allow A/Z to model installation routes, rigging plans, and setting requirements for major equipment. The practical applications are limitless for the information gathered by our VDC team.
